Thomas Driesner

PhD; Diplom (MSc); Vordiplom (BSc)
Hydrothermal Geochemist

Thomas has a very broad background in geosciences, and his research interest is in complex, interacting thermo-hydro-mechanical processes; particularly in integrating results of very different but complementary research disciplines and their methods into rigorous analyses of complex processes of heat and mass transfer in the crust.

In the GNG Programme, Thomas will numerically model (using his code CSMP++) the supercritical environmental around ‘magma mush’ and shallow intrusions in the TVZ  to predict where to find supercritical resources.
